Much of what is sent out can be viewed as supporting either liberal or conservative views. It is the magic of being vague. Some people interpret the media as being for the opposition and others of the same agenda interpret the same message as being supportive of their own side. The majority of reporters/anchormen and such are liberal, while the majority of owners/editors are conservative. Things get evened out reasonable well in the end. And don't get me wrong, there are some media sources that are very blatantly in support of one side or another. I am just addressing the mass media field as a whole.
